KONA, Hawaii – Nicolas Herrera led BYU-Hawaii men's golf in the final round of the Dennis Rose Invitational to a 9th place finish on Saturday.
Inoka Kahawaii finished in a 10th place tie overall, shooting a 14-over-par 230. He had 32 pars, trailing 5 behind the leader. Kahawaii did his damage on par-5 holes with a score of 2 under during the 54-hole tournament.
Herrera was the best Seasider on the final 18 finishing 1 under par on the day to finish with a 16 over for the tournament. Herrera led the field with 11 birdies.
Federico Clausen ended 29 over, Riley Bunker was 30 over and Alex Stuice rounded out the Seasiders' team with a 32-over-par score.
BYU-Hawaii has ended their fall season and will next play on Feb. 18 at the John Burns Tournament in Lihue, Hawaii.
