ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – Riley Bunker bounced back after a slow start yesterday to lead BYU-Hawaii men's golf to a third place finish at the Sonoma State Invitational at Foxtail Golf Club on Tuesday.
Bunker shot a 1-over 73 to move up 19 spots and finish tied for 41st overall. He also jumped into the top 15 of total pars with 33 (tied for 12th) during the 54 holes played. Nicolas Herrera was the lone top 10 finisher for the Seasiders finishing the tournament at 4 over par to place sixth.
Federico Clausen climbed up the leaderboards with a 2-over 74 to finish tied for 15th at 8 over par. Inoka Kahawaii had another strong day on the long holes finishing 1 under on par-5 holes to finish 23rd at 11 over. Alex Stulce parred 35 out of 54 holes to tie for the sixth most in the field.
BYU-Hawaii will compete again in next week's HPU Tri-Match Oct. 21-22 at the Olomana Golf Course and Pearl Country Club.
