Seasiders hold slight edge after day one of Chaminade Tri-Match

WAIMANALO, Hawaii – Nicolas Herrera and Frederico Clausen both shot a 1-under-par 71 to put BYU-Hawaii men's golf two strokes ahead after the first day of the Chaminade Tri-Match on Tuesday.

The Seasiders finished the day with a team score of 289, while Hawaii Pacific finished with a 291 and Chaminade with a 295.

Inoka Kahawaii, last week's leader in the BYU-Hawaii Tri-Match, finished even par on the day. Alex Stulce finished with a 3-over 75 and Riley Bunker hit a 5-over 77.

BYU-Hawaii will look to finish on top for the second time to begin the season tomorrow.
