Seasiders take second at Aloha@Oahu Invite

KAHUKU, Hawaii (Mar. 28, 2014) - Federico Clausen finished one-under-par after two days of golf to help the BYU-Hawaii men's golf team to a second-place finish, tops among Division II schools at the Aloha@Oahu Invitational.

The Seasiders finished with a team score of 587, 11-over par after two days of golf on the Palmer and Fazio Courses at Turtle Bay.

The University of Hawaii took top marks with a 20-under 556. Hawaii Pacific finished third and Chaminade, Pacific and Whitman took the fourth, fifth and sixth spots, respectively.

Clausen took fourth overall with a 73 first round score and a 70 in the second to total 143 for the event.

Matthew Jensen tied for fifth overall right behind Clausen with a 73 in both rounds.

Tied for 10th overall, Mike Klem shot a 74 in both rounds and Bowen Prestwich logged a 77 and 76 to tie for 16th place.

Zach Janiec recorded and 84 on the first day but improved to a one-over-par 73 in the second round, finishing in a tie for 21st.
