Seasiders finish eighth at Dennis Rose Invitational

WAIKOLOA VILLAGE, Hawaii (Oct. 29, 2013) - After two days of competition, the BYU-Hawaii men's golf team finished up its fall season with an eighth-place finish at the Dennis Rose Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.

The Seasiders entered the final 18 holes in the eighth spot hoping to move up the leaderboard but finished out the day remaining at No. 8. Hawaii-Hilo also clung to its same position atop the standings to take home the first-place honor.

After shooting a combined 620 after two rounds on Monday, BYU-Hawaii scored a 323 as a team on the final 18, a few strokes behind the pace for each of the first two rounds.

Federico Clausen and Zach Janiec both shot a seven-over-par 79 to tie for 29th overall.

Tying for 46th place, Mike Klem recorded an 85 in the final round and Sean Crapo improved from his second round with an 80 to finish in a tie for 50th.

Peder McOmber finished in 53rd overall with a 91 score in the final 18.

The Seasiders will take their experience from the fall season as they now prep for spring golf starting in March.
