Kaneohe, HI—Freshman Trevor Gosar shot a three-over-par 75 today to lead the Brigham Young University-Hawaii men's golf team to a first place finish in a tri-match at the difficult Ko'olau Golf Club. The Seasiders scored a team total of 313 on the par-72 layout to earn an eight-shot victory over Chaminade.
Scott Pickering and Dillon Dudley each shot 76 for BYU-Hawaii and Colten Lamb rounded out the team scoring for the Seasiders with an 86. Mike Klem also finished the round for BYU-Hawaii, coming in with a score of 88.
Chaminade took second in the team scoring with a 321 total and Hawaii Pacific finished third at 326. Hawaii Pacific's Travis Miller took medalist honors with a round of 74.
BYU–Hawaii will be back in action on March 25 for the first day of the Grand Canyon Thunderbird Classic in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
