BYU-Hawaii finishes third in first golf of the season

LAIE, Hawaii (Oct. 9 , 2013) – The BYU-Hawaii men's golf team started the fall season off with a three-team tournament between the Seasiders, Chaminade and Hawaii Pacific on Wednesday afternoon.

The Seasiders came in third with a team score of 25-over-par 313, just behind HPU's 24-over-par 312 finish while Chaminade took the best score home with a 14-over 302.

The Turtle Bay Fazio Course, a Par 72 provided a good first round of golf as BYU-Hawaii begins another season.

Mike Klem and Zach Janiec were the top Seasiders, coming in with five-over-par scores of 77. Bowen Prestwich shot a 78, Sean Crapo an 81 and Peder McOmber an 84.

BYU-Hawaii will see Chaminade and HPU in another tri-match at the Hawaii Prince Golf Course on Oct. 15.
