Turtle Bay, HI—Freshman Trevor Gosar shot a two-under-par 70 today to take medalist honors as the Brigham Young University-Hawaii men's golf team claimed first place in a tri-match at the Turtle Bay Resort Fazio Course. Gosar beat a pair of Hawaii Pacific players by one stroke on the par-72 layout to lead the Seasiders to a one-shot victory over the Sea Warriors, 291 to 292. Chaminade took third at 297.
Colten Lamb shot an even-par 72 for the Seasiders and Dillon Dudley came in at 2-over 74. Scott Pickering rounded out the team scoring for BYU-Hawaii with a three-over 75. Jake Wagstaff also competed for BYU-Hawaii and finished with a 77.
BYU–Hawaii will be back in action on February 21 for the first day of the John Burns Invitational at the Turtle Bay Resort Palmer course.
