Litchfield Park, AZ—The Brigham Young University-Hawaii men's golf team finished in fifth place today at the Pacific West Conference Championship Tournament to end the season. The Seasiders began the day in second place but struggled over the par-72 Wigwam course, finishing the day with a score of 320 for a two-day total of 621, one stroke behind fourth-place Dominican.
Individually, Dillon Dudley led the Seasiders with a two-day score of 74-79—153 to tie for 13th place. Scott Pickering tied for 18th at 78-76—154 and Jake Wagstaff tied for 38th at 76-83—159. Colten Lamb shot 73-90—163 to tie for 47th place and Mike Klem carded 85-82—167 to tie for 53rd place.
Following the tournament, Dudley was named to the All-Conference Second Team and Pickering was named to the All-Conference Third Team.
Grand Canyon won the team portion of the tournament with a score of 302-286—588 and the Antelopes Jimmy Kozikowski earned medalist honors in a one-hole playoff with UH-Hilo's Dalen Yamauchi. Kozikowski finished at 76-68—144 for the tournament. UH-Hilo took second in the team scoring with a total of 293-300—593 and Dixie State was third with 302-299—601.
