LAIE, Hawaii – Brad Jones was announced as BYU–Hawaii's seventh athletic director in the program's history on Tuesday.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity," Jones said. "We look forward to providing our student athletes and fans a great experience."
Jones came to BYU–Hawaii as the assistant athletic director and compliance officer in January 2016. Jones brings a wealth of experience to the Seasider program after working in conference administration and on-campus operations for over 10 seasons.
"We're excited to have Brad's experience - especially as a Seasider - to add to this role," President John Tanner said. "Our student athletes, coaches and staff will certainly benefit from his passion and precision as a leader."
Before his time at BYU–Hawaii, he worked at the University of Hawaii as the director of football administration overseeing the administrative aspects of its football team.
Jones started his career at the National Association of Basketball Coaches before moving to conference administration. He was director of championships for the Western Athletic Conference and the Atlantic 10 Conference directing championships and regular season administration, as well as policy and scheduling duties.
Jones earned a degree in political science from Brigham Young University in 2004.
