IRVINE, Calif. – Kristin Baldwin was named the PacWest Defender of the Week after a strong week of games from Feb. 13-19.
Baldwin led BYU-Hawaii to two wins in three games, averaging 17.0 points, 9.7 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game. She had 11 points, seven rebounds and two blocks in a win over Fresno Pacific to begin the week.
She tied her career-high with 22 points, and had 11 rebounds and three blocks against Academy of Art. She finished the week with 18 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks in a win over Dixie State. She leads the PacWest in blocks (2.4 bpg) and set the BYU-Hawaii single-season blocks record last week (60).
She is the second BYU-Hawaii women's basketball player to receive a weekly award this season. Safia Sheikh was named as the PacWest Player of the Week on Dec. 12.
